The brave Bainbridgers put up a tough fight, dressed brightly and were yellow all the way!

Long!!)

Long!! All the way performed fantastically and continuously stayed ahead of the game. Because of the participation efforts of these trumphant students, they were able to sieze the day and once again claim the 1st prize trophy.

Weinberg

Weinberg gave their all and stayed supportive the whole day. They encouraged each other through it all and had some top mark chants.

Some of the great costumes

Students of all shapes and sizes dressed up to the extreme. Some more outrageous than others.

The Marshalling Area

We anxiously waited for our race to begin.

Ready, Set, RaceThey ferociously dived into the deep blue water and swam their hearts out to win the race. No matter what the outcome was going to be, once they stepped into the water, they finished the race to the best of their ability
VIS Swimmers with the friendly Lion

A big thank you to Rosalie Purcell who organised VIS Swimmers from Melbourne. The students and staff enjoyed having them at their Carnival.

Pictured are – Marieke — World Record Holder 50 mt Butterfly and 2008 Short Course WCW.
Teddy!!
Sam Bramham — Paralympic Gold Medallist Beijing Games and WRW 50 & 100 Mt Butterfly.
Lee Holding - of VIS who drove the swimmers to the Alexandra Pool.

For the students and spectators who were there on the day, I don't think that many people would forget Sam the Paralympian swimming against our gun male swimmers, including Jason Shaw, Matt Steiner and Toby Ward in the 100m individual medley. Giving away a lap head start to the boys as well as being one leg down, he thundered home in the last lap to win by a fingernail from Matt Steiner, who was very gracious in defeat. A fantastic visual reminder of what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

ElvisThe noise of cheering and the colourful outfits attracted some very different visitors from the sky. Elvis parked next door to do some refuelling before going back to drop more water on the fires.
Lunch

The barbeque was splendid and the food was delicious. Elvis even made a special appearance to get a whiff of the snags.
